Lauriston is an epizonal gold-antimony-arsenic mineralized project which is the southern extension of the Fosterville Goldfield Belt and is adjacent to Agnico Eagle’s extensive Fosterville tenements.

Lauriston tenement also contains the south extension of the Whitelaw Fault, which is a key feature of the mesozonal Bendigo Goldfield (22Moz). The Lauriston-Malmsbury-Taradale Goldfield has similar style and age of mineralization as Bendigo. Catalyst Metals are exploring the 75km northern extension of this Whitelaw Fault zone with significant success.

These two separate gold belts of Fosterville and Bendigo converge on the Lauriston and Kyneton tenements. With the recent granting of the Kyneton tenement, which is contiguous with the Lauriston tenement, we can now follow up on exploring these converging structures as proposed by Mr Kirwin.

“Vectoring in on the highly prospective major Redesdale, Whitelaw, and Taradale Faults projected underneath never explored thin young basalt cover.” – Doug Kirwin
