Beechworth

Beechworth

Beechworth 100% owned project consists of 4 exploration licenses covering 459 sq km.

Project lies on the border of the Tabberabbera and Omeo Zones of the Lachlan Fold Belt.

Gold mineralization is hosted by Ordovician sediments as mesozonal orogenic deposits.

Intrusion related gold mineralization occurs at Hillsborough, with visible gold found in granite rock float material near the Taff group of former gold mines.

Ongoing exploration is occurring at Hillsborough group of prospects, including the Perseverance, Taff, Homeward Bound and Bon Accord former gold mines.

Drill permits for the Wallaby group of prospects are in application.

Table 1 – Historic drilling results at Homeward Bound Prospect

Follow up drilling at the Homeward Bound prospect also yielded encouraging intersections.

The latest round of drilling (HBRC17 & HBRC18) has discovered an extension of the mineralization to the north of the Great Fault, which was historically considered to bound the mineralization when the mine was operating in the early 1900s.

The new zone of mineralization is north and slightly west of the main zone of mineralization where the main set of workings occur. No previous mining is known to occur in this new extension area.

Prospect Areas - Bon Accord

Figure 4 – Bon Accord plan and section of significant recent drilling

Drilling at the Bon Accord prospect has discovered a new zone of mineralization north of and on strike to the workings associated with the former main shaft.
No previous mining has occurred in this new extensional area.

The drill intercepts include:

A slight offset in the deeper drill intercept is interpreted as the result of late-stage crosscutting faults which are known to occur in the area as at the nearby Homeward Bound prospect.

Beechworth - Regional Targeting

The Wallaby Group of former gold mines remain a key target for further exploration. Some drill permits are in place and further drill permitting is ongoing.

The gold mineralization associated with the Taff group of mines occurs along a NNE trending regional faulted contact between the granite in the east and Ordovician sediments. Gold mineralized greisen (altered granite) occurs along the fault zone.
